1. Our own content
The article text, headings and in-article diagrams on Services Accessible are original work, © Services Accessible unless a page says otherwise. Our terms of use cover how you may quote us: short excerpts with attribution and a link back are fine, but republishing whole pages, scraping the site to build a competing product, or reusing our diagrams commercially without written permission is not.
2. Photographs: real, freely licensed, always credited
Every photograph on this site is a real photograph, never an AI generation or a stock illustration. We source them from Openverse — which indexes Wikimedia Commons and other collections under CC0, Public Domain, CC BY or CC BY-SA — and from Pexels under the Pexels License. Full attribution for every photo in use, including the photographer, license and a link to the original, is published at /photo-credits/. In-article diagrams are original illustrations we draw in-house, not photographs, and aren't sourced from any outside library.
3. If you believe a photo is misused or misattributed
We rely on the license and attribution data supplied by Openverse and Pexels at the time we select each photo, and that data is occasionally wrong or incomplete at the source. If you are the photographer or rights holder and a photo on this site is not correctly licensed for our use, or the credit on /photo-credits/ is missing or wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Send a notice to editor@servicesaccessible.com with:
- A description of the work and, if you have it, a link to where it's published elsewhere with correct attribution.
- The exact URL on servicesaccessible.com where you found it.
- Your name, and an email or other way to reach you.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We don't have a separately registered DMCA agent or a postal address to give you — email at the address above is how notices reach us.
4. What happens after we get a notice
We review valid notices promptly. Most of the time the fix is a correction to the credit or license shown at /photo-credits/; where the license genuinely doesn't cover our use, we remove the photo from the site while we sort it out. We'd rather fix an attribution than take a photo down, so if what you actually want is a corrected credit or link, say so and send it the same way — that request doesn't need to look like a formal takedown notice.
5. Counter-notice
If we removed or disabled something of yours in response to a notice and you believe that was a mistake — for example, you hold the license or the photo is public domain — email editor@servicesaccessible.com with the URL that was affected, an explanation of why the removal was in error, your contact information, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you're outside the US, for any judicial district where Services Accessible may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice. We'll review and respond.
6. Repeat infringers
The standard repeat-infringer policy that applies to sites accepting user uploads doesn't apply here: Services Accessible has no reader accounts, no comments and no user-submitted content of any kind. Every image on the site is one we selected and licensed ourselves, so there's no uploader account to terminate.
